Vinyl Gloves

Disposable vinyl gloves are synthetic and non-biodegradable and have a longer shelf life than latex gloves, which often start to break down over time.

They are made from a synthetic, non-biodegradable, protein-free material, consisting of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and plasticizers. Vinyl gloves are a popular choice for the food industry and environments where high levels of durability and protection are less of a priority. While vinyl gloves may be less durable, and a looser fit compared to other gloves, they are the least expensive option. They are recommended for short-term use and low-risk tasks when non-hazardous materials are being handled.

Bastion Vinyl powder-free gloves can be dispensed using our Standard Glove Dispensers or, for ultimate control, our Progenics Cuff-First Dispensing System using larger square boxes with openings at the base to allow gloves to be pulled out (this combination of special box and dispenser reduces possible cross-contamination of germs).

Vinyl gloves are well suited for handling non-hazardous materials and chemicals, however they offer little protection from chemicals and micro-organisms. Vinyl is also not very form-fitting compared to latex or nitrile, giving the wearer limited dexterity and a higher chance that the glove will catch and tear.

Recommended: for food service and other applications where product protection is necessary but does not require much dexterity or tactile precision.
